We drove up into the Adirondack Mountains in New York. We stayed in an old house with a great porch overlooking Lake George. We also had 7 day membership passes to Silver Bay, which is a place run by YMCA. It has a hotel, a craft shop, were my cousin,
my sister and I spent most of our time, a store were their is ice cream and pizza, as well as drinks, and a boat house were you can rent kayaks, paddleboards, etc. and two places on the lake where you can swim. We went into Silver Bay everyday, to swim
or make things in the craft shop. A couple nights we also went to the store to get ice cream.
When we first got to our house it was raining, and the power was out, so we went and got flashlights (we only brought 1) The power was out for most of that day but later turned back on. In the middle of the second night, my mom got up to use the
bathroom and she saw a bat in the hallway. There was another one the next evening downstairs. My dad killed it with a tennis racket:(
